FiberTech Engineering specialise in the in-situ refurbishment
of water tanks, using a unique tank lining system, FiberTech.
Old or corroded tanks no longer require replacing,
and once coated with FiberTech, the lined tank's lifetime should
far exceed the average for even a new steel tank.
FiberTech is fully approved under the Water Bye-laws
Scheme and by the Water Research Centre and has been applied to
numerous installations ranging from hospitals and schools, to multi-storey
residential blocks and factories.
FiberTech Engineering Services also offer a comprehensive
tank replacement service if required.
Tank refurbishment
As water tanks age, they can become corroded and prone
to leaking. In this condition, they can also contribute to contamination
of the water supply with unwanted particles, algae and bacteria.
Where tanks have been installed in a restricted access
area, their removal and replacement becomes a costly exercise. Many
of the alternative in-situ repair methods such as painting or coating
can only provide a short term solution, and often take long periods
of time to cure and harden.
Example of a sewage tank:
FiberTech is a unique light curable GRP material which
can be applied when pliable and cured in a controlled environment,
ensuring a durable, impervious surface on the inside of the tank
whether it be steel, concrete, GRP or an alternative material.
Creating a new tank within a tank, FiberTech is inherently
strong and does not suffer shrinkage, and its smooth, tough finish
inhibits both bacteriological growth and the build-up of limescale.
Other applications of FiberTech:
Chemical tanks
Fuel tanks
Tanking Bund walls
Valley gutters
Swimming pools
Spray booths
Duct work
Chutes
Hoppers
Asbestos encapsulation
